Farmhouse Kings Cross

“Amazing food, a must do in Sydney”
I took my partner to the Farmhouse in Kings Cross last Friday night and we had an amazing meal! The farmhouse has an ever changing menu, a fantastically unusual concept and a very personal feel.

The room is quite small and intimate, made up of one long communal table that holds twenty people. Accompanied with a great wine list, dim lighting and a relaxed atmosphere. It's a great way to meet people as well, as the two ladies we were sitting next to were more than happy to have a chat with us.

The food was fantastic, filling and unusual. We started with a share plate of croquettes, delicious pickled turnips and gherkins and some fresh produce. Followed by a serving of zucchini pasta with smoked chicken and sun dried tomato's which was one of my highlights of the night. The first two courses were quite filling, but when the mains came out we just couldn't help ourselves, 12 hour slow roasted pork with crackling, a large plate of soft and creamy mash potato, pan fried brussle sprouts, beans and other greens, a side dish of caramelized pear, a house made baguette. AND IT WAS AMAZING!

We were both ready to pop by this point and then the desert's, yes plural, desserts, came out. First off an amazing rhubarb cheese cake, with a light crumble, then a Coconut, pineapple and rum tart. Needless to say we rolled out of the restaurant and fell into a food coma!

The head chefs, brought out all our food and explained the dishes and their ingredients to us, the waitress was very attentive and the whole experience cost $55 pp (drinks not included).
